Winnie M. Stanek

Stanek, Winnie Former owner of the Piccadilly Restaurant in Mahtomedi Age 90. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Tom; and sisters, Jackie Hoeppner and Ginny Pawlenty. Survived by five children, Susie (Brent) Anderson, Valerie (Brien) Peterson of Mahtomedi, Brenda (Phil) Anderson of Stillwater, Tom Jr. of Woodbury, Joe (Becky) of Mahtomedi; nine grandchildren, Shawn, Mike, and Meredith Peterson; Ben, Hans (Bridget), Brittany (Mike) Carr, Bryan (Jenny), Brad (Krista), and Jonathan Stanek; seven great-grandchildren; and by sister, Mary Markoe, and Brothers John and Donald Oldenburg of Washington D.C and many dear nieces & nephews. We can’t know how many lives she touched. She would catch your eye with her big dimples and then warm your heart with her quiet, unassuming kindness and humor. We do know that she was a selfless ever loving blessing of a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. We will miss her forever. Special thanks to the caring staff at Coventry of Mahtomedi. Funeral service and interment are private.
