William "Bill" Berry, 60, of St. Paul, MN passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mom, Beverly Ann Berry; and grandparents, Bill and Lorraine Steiner and Tom and Stella Berry. He is survived by his dad, Thomas Berry; sisters, Wendy Okane and Betsey DeGree; nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Bill spent his formative years on the east side of Saint Paul. After completing his education, he joined his father's business, Selby Iron, where he worked for a few years before embarking on a new journey as a cross country semi driver.
Eventually, Bill settled in Michigan, where he established a strong network of friends and found a sense of belonging. Throughout his life, Bill took great pride in his involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). As a dedicated member, he became a respected leader within the community, offering support, guidance, and encouragement to others on their journey to recovery. In addition to his work with AA, Bill found fulfillment as a volunteer at the local Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital. Serving as a greeter, he welcomed and comforted fellow veterans as they arrived for their appointments.
Outside of his commitments, Bill cherished connecting with his great nieces and nephews through Facebook. He will be missed.
