William B. Mulry

William Boyd Mulry (85) of The Shores of Lake Phalen in Maplewood, MN, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 from heart failure. William (Bill) was born on October 11, 1937 to parents William J. and Beulah Mulry. He grew up in Eldred, MN, graduating from High School in Crookston, MN and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. He then enjoyed a long and rewarding career teaching History, Chemistry, Mathematics and Driver's Education. He retired from the St. Paul School District in 2002. Bill valued family, faith, education, wildlife and land conservation. He proudly formed the White Wind Wildlife Society which has continued for over 30 years. Bill is survived by his devoted wife Yvonne and their four children, Elizabeth (Darrell) Peterson, Mary (Matthew) Blackford, William V. (Crystal) Mulry and Michael (Amy) Mulry as well as eight grandchildren, Ryan, Ross, Marissa, Rebekka, Caroline, Nicholas, Michael and Mitchell, and two great grandchildren, Emma and Luke. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ray. Funeral mass to be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, September 15, at the Church of St. Pius X, 3878 Highland Ave, White Bear Lake, with a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service with luncheon immediately following to honor Bill's full life; all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
