William Edward Bastyr Age 82 ~ Passed Away at Home on December 15, 2017 Preceded in death by parents, Rose and William; brother, Robert; granddaughter, Kalyn; and great-granddaughter, Nevaeh. Survived by wife of 57 years, Helen (nee Legel); children, Joe (Cindie Mummert Bastyr) of Maplewood and Linda Bastyr Havens (Walter Havens) of Centerville; grandchildren, Kyle and Kassidy Halverson, Travis Bastyr, David Jansen, Nicholas Jansen, and McKayla Jansen; great-grandchildren, Kyle Halverson Jr., Kayne Halverson, and Klyde Halverson; brother, James (Dorothy); sister-in-law, Jill; and many other family and friends. Visitation 4-7PM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1725 Kennard Street, Maplewood, with second visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment and military honors at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul.
