Passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, Glenn & 8 siblings. Survived by many nieces, nephews; great nieces & nephews; great-great nieces & nephews; and great-great-great nieces & nephews. Vannie was especially grateful for the many years of friendship and care from nephew Al Hayne; great nephews & great nieces, James Hayne, John (Mary) Hayne, Steven Hayne, Paul Hayne, Jeanne (Rob) Felt, Linda Hayne, Karen Hayne, Barbara (John) Wurst, Linda Hayne, & Cathy Hayne; great-great niece, Jodi Hayne; & special friends, Eric Larson & Maureen Korlath. Vannie was past president of the Business and Professional Women of MN, served on the board of directors for both the American Red Cross and Phoenix Residence, and was a part of numerous committees at Sacred Heart Church. Vannie will be remembered for her wonderful wit, love of travel, and generous spirit. She was deeply devoted to the care of her mother, her husband, & her sister Florence, in their time of need. Visitation 5 - 8 PM MONDAY (12/27) at MUELLER MEMORIAL PARKWAY CHAPEL, 835 Johnson Pkwy. at E. 7th St., and one hour prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM TUESDAY (12/28) at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 840 E. 6th St. Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to an organization of the donor’s choice. Special thanks to Cerenity Marian Care Center and Presbyterian Homes Waverly Gardens for their superb care of Vannie. Vannie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
