Troy Jonathon Geck

Troy Jonathon Geck, 24, of White Bear Lake, MN and Santa Barbara, CA, died unexpectedly September 21, 2013. He was born in St. Paul, MN on May 17, 1989, Son of Donna and Tim Geck. He graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, CA. He was a student at UC-Merced, Santa Barbara City College and Century College. He worked part-time at Venberg Tire. Troy grew up going to school in Santa Barbara, CA and spent his summers wakeboarding on White Bear Lake. Troy loved anything on a board; including snowboarding and long boarding. Troy is survived by his parents, Donna Geck and Tim and Holly Geck, brothers Tyler and Marshall, sisters Paige and Drew; his aunts and uncles; cousins; and many friends. Troy died before he was able to fulfill a future of boundless promise. He was a young man of great character and a big heart who thought of others before himself. Troy meant much to many, left us too soon, and will be greatly missed by all of us. There will be a gathering for family and friends at Guldens Restaurant, 2999 North Highway 61, Maplewood, MN on Saturday, October 5, 2013, beginning at 11:00 A.M. and continuing to 3:00 P.M. A celebration service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Food and refreshments to be served throughout the gathering time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
