Tonda Rose Anderson (nee Cummings)
Age 61 of Chisago City
Formerly of St. Paulâs Eastside
Tonda was born in St. Paul on April 20, 1955 to Rosemary (nee Dombovy) and Earl Cummings. She attended grade school at Sacred Heart Parish and graduated from Harding High School. When she was younger, she met the love of her life, Dave Anderson, in Kindergarten but they did not begin dating until they were fifteen years old. The two were married at Sacred Heart Parish on December 31, 1977 and Tonda always said Dave would be able to remember their wedding anniversary as New Yearâs Eve. She was an artist at heart and thrived at anything creative. Her painting collections include beautiful artwork of animal faces and flowers. Her artistic abilities did not end at painting. Her family remembers her as a hard worker and said there was nothing the woman couldnât do. Tonda was a very relaxed person and went with the flow. Whatever happened, happened. She will be remembered for being outgoing, funny, and the most loving woman a person could know. If there were oldies playing, you could bet on Tonda to be dancing and getting everyoneâs spirits up. Her relationship with God was very present and she loved learning about other religions and the scripture.
Tonda passed away on August 16, 2016, with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rosemary Cummings; her sister, Jill Frances Rogers; and her brother, Greg Cummings. She will be dearly missed by her husband of almost 40 years, David âHermâ Anderson; her children, Molly Anderson, Thomas (Cori) Anderson, Joe Anderson (Samantha), and Mitch Anderson; her grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Violet Anderson, Autum Anderson, and Gavin Anderson; her siblings, Jeff Cummings, Mary Cummings (Roger), Gretchen (Tom) Schadegg, OâDell (Steve) Shea, and Chad Cummings; sister-in-law, Rosemary Cummings; brother-in-law, Mark Rogers; and many other family and friends.
There will be a gathering of friends and family from 3:00PM to 5:30PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, with a sharing of memories time at 5:30PM. All are welcome to participate and share a favorite story, memory, or reading.
