Thomas J.
Cherished Husband, Father
Grandpa, Uncle & Friend
Thomas passed away on May 27, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Preceded in death by son Sean; parents Tom & Mary and sister Mary. He is survived by his devoted wife Meech; son Tommy (Sheri); grandchildren T.J., Carter & Mimi and many nieces & nephews. Tom was raised in Chicago, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and received his degree from Georgetown Law School. While in D.C. he met the love of his life, Meech and they married in 1966. Tom went on to fulfill his military duty in the U.S. Army outside of Boston. They moved to Minnesota where he began his distinguished career as a personal injury attorney. He was a past president of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and founder of the Minnesota chapter of the Inns of Court. Later he practiced consumer law with his son and was an advocate for the poor, the weak, and disenfranchised. Tom was well-read and passionate in his beliefs and opinions, but was always up for a friendly debate over a glass of wine. In his spare time Tom enjoyed card games, playing pretty good tennis, pickleball and not so good golf - despite his recent hole in one. Tomâs grandchildren provided so much joy in his life. He was eager to provide them with guidance and they loved him for it. He will be remembered for his devotion to his beloved Meech for 53 years, his love for Tommy, Sheri, and their kids, and his ability to fill a room with his storytelling and quick wit. We are consoled in the belief that Tom is with Sean. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 7th at 2:00 pm at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 Margaret Street, North St. Paul.
