Thomas "Tom" Lawrence Gerner was born in St. Paul, MN on November 12th, 1965. He was a loving father, son, husband, brother, and a treasured friend.
After successfully beating esophageal cancer, Tom fought another battle-this time a years long fight with liver disease. Tom passed away peacefully in St. Paul, MN on February 21st, 2024, at the age of 58. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by parents Rosemary Rita (Driscoll) Gerner, Robert Lawrence Gerner; infant sister Leianne Gerner.
He is survived by wife of 12 years Brenda Hoff; children Lindsay Gerner and Cory Gerner, stepdaughter Jasmine Vilaysone; sister Chris (Paul) Keane.
Tom lived a life packed with adrenaline. He had a passion for the outdoors, which led to days filled with snowmobiling, water skiing, boating, and fishing. He was the type of man who would always leave memories of shenanigans.
Though Tom can never be replaced, we find peace in knowing that he is reunited with his loved ones in the afterlife and knowing that we will continue finding comfort in memories that will last through the rest of our lives.
A celebration of life will be held on May 18th at the Roseville VFW located at 1145 Woodhill Drive from 1-4pm. Donations of any kind are welcome.
If you are unable to attend the celebration, Tom's ashes will be interred with both of his parents at Resurrection Cemetery at 2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120.
