Theresa Ann "Terry" Werner (nee Burke) went home to the Lord on February 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Thomas, and parents James and Alice Burke, and sister, Katherine Burke Moore (Cliff). She leaves behind her son, Jeffrey Daniel and Katherine “Katie” McMahon Werner (Zach Symes), brother Thomas Michael (Barb), sister Elizabeth Burke, and many friends and relatives.

Terry graduated from White Bear Lake HIgh School, Class of 1969, and later returned to college at St. Catherine’s to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in 2001. She worked for the State of Minnesota, at both MNDOT & DNR, and retired in 2016.

Terry loved to travel and went to Ireland twice, voyaged on an Alaskan cruise, visited the Dominican Republic, Disneyland and Graceland, and loved to hike the Superior Trail in Northern

Minnesota.

She spent many hours volunteering at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul, serving meals every 1st Wednesday for many years, and was also a Minister of Holy Communion, taking communion to the homebound for her fellow parishioners from the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Maplewood. She also loved to garden, cook, and was a domestic diva who enjoyed keeping a lovely home.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at PRESENTATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY CHURCH, 1725 Kennard Street, Maplewood. Visitation Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake and one hour before the Mass at church on Friday. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association or Catholic Charities.
