Byrne, Terese M. (nee Wolkerstorfer) Age 88 Born September 28, 1928 in Saint Paul, Minnesota Died October 24, 2016, surrounded by family at her home in White Bear Lake. Beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Friend. Preceded in Death by husband, Dr. William Byrne; daughter Nancy Heller. Survived by children, Marianne Byrne, James Byrne, Suzanne Byrne, Daniel Byrne, Thomas Byrne, and Diane (Jeff) Meyer; son in law, Luther Heller; grandchildren, Mike Byrne and Amy (Mack) Savage; great granddaughter, Evie Savage; sister, Florence Steffes and Sr. John Christine Wolkerstorfer; extended family and friends. Terry was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for 58 years. She was an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Third Order of St. Francis for 60 years, delivered Meals on Wheels for 18 years, and volunteered at the Life Care Center for 7 years. She was an accomplished Pianist and studied music at the St. Agatha Conservatory. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1946. She married Bill in 1952, and was an extraordinary stay-at-home mom for her husband and 7 children. Visitation on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 11:30 AM with visitation one hour prior to Mass at St. Pius the X Catholic Church, 3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Good Counsel Cancer Home.
