Mason, Ted “T.R.” Age 85, Longtime educator Formerly of WBL Passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2011. Preceded in death by his first wife Marian (January 1990) and eight of nine brothers and sisters. Survived by loving wife Eunice, son Tom (Paula), daughters Barb (Pete) Mauch and Terri (Charlie) Schultz; Eunice’s sons, BJ (Judy) Johnson and Mark (Debbie) Johnson; grandchildren Anne Mason, Kassie Mauch, Jeff (Jenna) Mauch , Willie Schultz, Joe Shultz, Andrea Johnson, Nick Johnson, Angie (Jake) Buckingham, Danie (Shawn) Aronson, and Jeni Johnson; great grandchildren Scottlyn, Alex, and Ayden, plus scores of nieces and nephews and wonderfully supportive neighbors and friends. A career educator, he served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and received his BS and MS degrees from Mankato State College. He taught in Springfield and Redwood Falls before moving to White Bear Lake in 1957 where he served many years as an elementary school administrator. He was burdened by a lifelong optimism about Gopher football. Visitation 4 – 7 PM WEDNESDAY (1/5) at MUELLER LAKE MORTUARY, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, WBL. Funeral Service 11 AM THURSDAY (1/6) at REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3770 Bellaire Ave, WBL, with visitation from 10 – 11 AM at church. Private Interment Fort Snelling Nat’l Cemetery. The family prefers that memorials be sent to the charities of your choice.
