Stephen T. Eytcheson
1/10/12-5/11/12
Stephen Thomas Eytcheson, “Stevie”, born January 10, 2012, passed away peacefully in his Mommy and Daddy’s arms on May 11th.
Preceded in death by his Grandfather, Steven. Survived by his loving parents, Thomas and Molly; Grandparents Sherri Larson, Debra Bunker, Bill and Hannelore Matthews; Aunts and Uncles, Dave and Carrie Katzenmeyer, Matthew and Jennifer McConnell, Doug and Tammy Brooks, Chad Bilotta, Craig Bilotta; Very Special Cousins, Jim, Drake and Wren Brooks, Ethan McConnell; and many dear Great-Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great-Grandparents, and friends.
Stevie was born with a congenital heart defect and went through several surgeries, eventually needing a heart transplant. He spent 62 courageous days on the transplant waiting list before he suffered from a stroke. He was very brave in his fight and wanted to hang on for his parents as long as he could, but we knew he would be happier in Heaven and told him it was okay to let go.
Stevie showed us how to feel love we have never felt before; he taught us how to be brave, exemplified strength, and captured our hearts with his brilliant smile and humorous personality.
He enjoyed being held by anyone, having his butt patted by Mommy and his hair combed by Daddy. He loved to look at himself in the mirror and thought he was funny. He enjoyed listening to Motown music and being read Winnie-the-Pooh.
In Stevie’s selfless example, his last gift to us in this world was to donate his tissues and stem cells to help save as many others as possible that were waiting on lists.
Rest In Peace our Beautiful Baby Boy.
