Stanley Servatka

November 26, 1944 — March 7, 2025

Stanley “Stan” J. Servatka

Age 80, of Biwabik, MN & Vadnais Heights, MN

Passed away on March 7th, 2025.

Stanley, known as Stan by many, was born to Edward and Marcella Servatka on November 26th, 1944, in Biwabik, MN. He graduated from Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School in 1963. In September 1965, he joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in August 1969.

On July 5th, 1969, Stan married the love of his life, Marie Woodard. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary before his passing. Together, they built a happy life and made their home in Vadnais Heights, MN, where they raised their two children, Michelle and Michael. Stan had a successful career as a truck driver, retiring after 41 years.

Stan loved the outdoors, enjoying activities such as gardening, camping, fishing, and hunting with family and friends. Family gatherings were a source of great joy for him, often accompanied by an occasional cigar, and a round of Slivovitz, a tradition honoring his Slovakian heritage. He was an avid fan of vintage warplanes, NASCAR (Go Joey Go!), hockey, and Vikings football.

He will be deeply missed by his campground friends and his Camp Deer crew, who shared countless laughs, fun, and camaraderie over the years. Stan was the rock of his family, exemplifying what it means to be a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always eager to help those around him, offering support to family, friends, and extended family alike.

Stan is survived by his wife, Marie; his children, Michelle (Mike) and Mike (Jill); his sister, Barbara; his brother, Steven (Christine); eight grandchildren: Brittney, Joshua (Ashley), Ben (Kylie), Connor, Nick, Laura, Nate, and Jake; and four great-grandchildren: Chase, Alice, Elijah, and Kairi; nephew Jake; niece JoAnne (Zac) and thier children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Marcella, and his brother, Dennis.

Stan's absence leaves a profound void, and he will be missed more than words can express.
