Grandmother, Aunt and Friend
Born on October 29, 1930 in Hugo, MN and passed away peacefully on February 27, 2015 at the age of 84 after a courageous 5 year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Shirley spent most of her life in Hugo. She was a 28 year retiree of Burlington Northern Railroad. She truly was one of a kind and adored by all who knew her. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her father, Henry Charpentier; mother, Ida Mae Abresch; stepfather, Armond Abresch; her loving husband, Arthur; and brother, Robert Charpentier. Survived by children, Kathlyn (Bill) and Tom (Debbie); grandchildren, Chelsie, Marissa, Luke and Olivia; sisters, Rheta Nardini and Carol (Emery) Herbert; sisters-in-law, Carol Charpentier and Marilyn Thornquist; and many loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank the staff at White Bear Lake White Pine Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for their excellent care. Visitation 4-7PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at MUELLER LAKE MORTUARY, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at THE CHURCH OF ST. GENEVIEVE - ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CAMPUS, 14383 Forest Blvd. N., Hugo with second visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment, parish cemetery. A reception will follow at the Hugo American Legion – Post 620, 5383 140th Street N. In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
