Shirley Skelton

Shirley Skelton was born into eternity on October 28th, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Dolores; and former husband of many years, Bob. Survived by children, Rob (Megan), Chris (Annette), Lori (Frank), Michelle (Troy); 8 grandchildren, Kevin, Melissa, Cassandra, Corrissa, Austin, Alexa, Brianna , and Jordan; and 5 great-grandchildren, Zoey, Hattie, Arianna, Bentley, and Hunter; and many friends.

Shirley attended St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing in Chicago and earned her degree in 1954. She went on to hold a variety of positions in her field over the years. She loved her Catholic faith and was an active volunteer at her church, St. Jerome's in Maplewood. She enjoyed being a Parish nurse, working with the children and school, and being a Eucharistic Minister. She loved being a caregiver and helping others. Music was a favorite enjoyment of hers, especially Neil Diamond. Shirley was very devoted to her family and the fun games they all enjoyed. Her warm smile and her heart will be missed by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 380 East Roselawn Ave, Maplewood. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, and also an hour prior to the Mass at the church. Private family interment to follow.
