Rosemarie May, nee Satriano, age 86. Born in Brooklyn, New York and long-time resident of St. Paul's East Side. Preceded in death by husband Lawrence, son Gregory; parents Jack and Mary; siblings Angelina, Pauline and Paul.
She will be forever missed by children Christina (Noah), Anthony (Marci), and Michael (Lois). Grandchildren Justina (Marty), Jacob (Natalie), Rachel Elizabeth, Charlie (Rachel) and Trenton. Great-grandchildren Jaxon, Jionni, Isaac and Aiden; Stepmother Catherine, sisters Linda and Diane; many other relatives and friends.
Family was everything to Ro! She was an incredible cook, often hosting her famous Italian feasts for family, neighbors and church events. Her friendliness, kindness and generosity were legendary. There was always room for more at her table. She was an accomplished bowler and tennis player. She was an enthusiastic sports fan, and often had a few choice words for the Vikings! She loved playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and Wordle.
Ro called herself a professional volunteer. She didn't wait for an invitation to help - when she saw a need, she just went ahead and got it done. She made the world a better place.
She was a parishioner and volunteer at St. Pascal's church and school for 60+ years. She was the Women's Club President, served on the Parish Council, and worked at many church events.
Her greatest legacy at St. Pascal's was leading the funeral lunch program. She planned more than 700 funerals over the past 25 years and could recruit a team of volunteers to feed hundreds of people with just a few days' notice. She was passionate about this ministry and feeding people in their grief.
She volunteered at Life Care Center and worked at the Election Bureau in later years. She organized events and services for the East Side, and was awarded Citizen of the Year for her work.
Thanks for everything Mom - we will miss you so much. La Familia forever!
