Ronald (Ron) Emil Hiltunen

Ronald Emil Hiltunen April 20, 1937 to April 2, 2015 Age 77 ~ Husband, Father & Grandpa Ronald was born in Grey Eagle on April 20, 1937 to Emil and Rose Hiltunen. He worked for many years in the maintenance departments at St. Paul Public works and the St. Paul Public Schools. He enjoyed cribbage, fishing and hunting. Ronald’s favorite places were his and Jacqueline’s home in Punta Gorda, Florida and their lake house in Park Rapids, Minnesota. More than anything, Ronald loved spending time with his family. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Rose; his four siblings, Helen Hiltunen, Gloria Mathre, Dee Healy and Bonnie Calisto. He will be dearly missed by his wife of twenty four years, Jacqueline Hiltunen (nee Pierson); his son, Richard (Catherine) Hiltunen; his stepchildren, Rodney Atkinson and Nicole (Robert) Kaphing; his four grandchildren, Ashtin Hiltunen, Lexi Hiltunen, Brady (Briana) Kaphing and Madison Atkinson; his great-granddaughter, Brylie Kaphing; his twin brother, Donald (Bonnie) Hiltunen; two sisters, Ginny (Dick) Lidstone and Mimi Rangitsch; and many other family and friends. Gathering of friends and family from 4:00-7:00PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Funeral Service at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the funeral home with second visitation one hour prior.
