Roberta Jean Haessly

Haessly (Olson), Roberta J., 77, of Hugo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022, after a hard fought battle of a diagnosis of MDS, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her son, William. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael; daughters, Maureen (Karl) Ellingson, Denise (Jeff) Cosgrove, and Kerrie (Stephen) Upenieks; grandchildren, Katherine, Savannah, Amberlea, Jocelynn, Robert, Mackenzee, Dylan, Parker, Sydney, Elizabeth, and Trenton; great grandchildren, Daryon, Julianah, Maelina, and Ivan; and other family and friends.

Roberta was a very jovial and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She delighted in spending her time reading and traveling. Her and Michael spent many years taking road trips and cruises together and with family. She never could go the most direct route either, she enjoyed taking the scenic back roads and didn’t worry about the time it would take to get to her destination. She loved to go on shopping trips and spend her day in the (many) stores. When she went out, she was always well put together and styled with class. Roberta was known to always be willing to share her helpful advice, even if you told her it wasn’t needed. She had a tremendous love for her family, especially her life’s greatest joy- her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her presence will be deeply missed.

A celebration of her life will be held from 11 AM to 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake.
