Robert Casey

Was reunited with his beloved wife, Joan M. (Szeremeta) Casey after 21 years apart, on Nov. 25, 2010, due to complications of lung cancer. Born and raised in Iona, MN, Robert served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, making his home in St. Paul. Retired from the USPS after 26 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan; parents, Margaret and Francis Casey; twin sister, Rosemary Casey; & brother, Dr. John Casey. Survived by his daughter, Patricia of St. Paul; sons, Thomas of Florida, Joseph (Sheryl) of St. Paul, & Michael (Andrea) of St. Paul; grandchildren, Molly Casey, Ben Casey, & Kristin; sisters, Bernadette Myhra of St. Paul, Frances Casey of Everett, WA, & Patricia Reeves of Everett, WA. Also survived by his many nieces & nephews; good friends Bob & Brad; and he was a friend of Bill W. for 47 years. Visitation 5 – 8 PM THURSDAY (12/2) at MUELLER MEMORIAL PARKWAY CHAPEL, 835 Johnson Pkwy. at E. 7th St., and one hour prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM FRIDAY (12/3) at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 840 E. 6th St. Interment Union Cemetery.
