Richard S. Haas, 95, of North Saint Paul, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his children, Rosemary J (Haas) Sterrett and Jeanette K. Haas. Survived by wife, Catharine Haas; children, Raymond Stanley Haas and Ellen A. (Haas) Titus; grandchildren, Richard Matthias Sterrett, Andrew James Sterrett, Israel Haas, Judah Noah Haas, Jedidiah Haas, Katharine Ann Moseman, Melissa Jo (Titus) Prokop, and William Joseph Titus; great grandchildren, Andrew Donald Titus, Emma Arlene Titus, Chloe Ann Titus, Reece Walter Prokop, Oksana Katerina Haas, Makaria Margaret Haas, Elazar Haas, Madisyn Rae Haas, Mason Jedidiah Haas, Lily Adele Haas, Ethan Israel Haas, Maximus David Haas, Kylie Haas, Christopher Judah Haas, Madilyn Grace Gieske, and Kailey Rose Gieske.
Richard was born on January 3, 1925 to Roy and Eva Haas in Rossville, Illinois. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Catharine Covert on June 30, 1946 and they were married for 74 years. They had four children, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Richard received a business degree and started working for the NCR Corporation in their business office. He soon saw selling cash registers was a better opportunity and provided for his family as a salesman until he retired.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Mueller Memorial- White Bear Lake, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave. A private family interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Face coverings required. We ask all guests to respect Covid-19 guidelines and practice safe social distancing.
