Richard "Dick" Bies

Bies, Richard (Dick) E. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather (Great Poppa) 86 years old, of St. Paul. Went home to be with our Lord on October 12th, 2014 in St. Paul. He was preceded in death by parents, Louise & Nicholas; aunt Marie and brother Robert. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Patricia (Pat); 8 children; daughters, Mary Pat (George), Kay, Beth (John), Karen (Doug), Anne (Ray); sons Richard (Tracie), David (Luda) & Jerry (Mary); sister in law, Margaret. Also survived by Also survived by grandchildren: Michele (Matt), Shannon, Kristin (Gary), Katie (Carl), Amanda (Mike), Kris (Betsy), Matt (Nikki), Mark (Kristin), Nick, Miranda, Dan, Lauren, Tyler, Jessica and Leanna & great grandchildren: Caiden, Emerson, Beckett, Nate, Landon, Andi & Luke. And many nieces & nephews. Resident of Marian Center, St. Paul and former resident of White Bear Lake and Breezy Point, MN. Special thanks to the staff at Marian Care Center for their care. Retired from 3M after 37 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and Cretin High School graduate. Mass of Christian Burial THURSDAY at 10 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at MARIAN CARE CENTER, 200 Earl St., St. Paul. Private interment at Ft. Snelling at a later date. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
