Rebecca Roering

Rebecca Ann Roering, 58, of Hugo, passed away on February 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bette June and Don "Supe" Zirbes; niece, Toni LaForge; and nephews, Nicholas, Justin, and Joshua Zirbes. She is survived by her children, Jenna and Jesse; siblings, Joan (Ken) Voigt, Don Jr. (Carol) Zirbes, Linda (Lonny) LaForge, Debi (Brendan) Larson, and Mary (Mike) Zirbes- Stumpf; and many other nieces; nephews; family and friends.

Becky was a force of nature. She grew up near the lake and learned to water ski at the age of 6. She ran track in High School and formed lifelong, supportive friendships. She graduated from Saint Cloud State University with the intention to go on to Law School but started working for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) right out of college then transitioned to the TSA and has accumulated 35 years of government service between the two agencies, with her last role being the Assistant Federal Security Director for Inspections. Her tenacity and strength provided her the ability to succeed and speak her mind when needed, even when testifying in front of congress.

Becky enjoyed time with her nieces and nephews, her beautiful husky, Koda, and most of all, her greatest joy in life was time with her children. Her ability to keep her humor, her generous spirit, and her love will be greatly missed.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110 with visitation beginning at 10 AM. A celebration of her life will follow from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Southern Rail, 7084 Centerville Rd, Centerville, MN 55038.
