Patrick W. Divine, age 68, of Minnetonka, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Pat was raised in Edina and began his career at Hoigaards before pursuing higher education. He earned two honors degrees and subsequently built a fulfilling career as a Radiologic Technologist with Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Pat was a devoted outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and spending time in nature. He was a loving partner to Ann Davies and a proud father to Brian (Shayna), Teresa, and Randy (Jodie). His grandchildren, Austin, Makayla, Bailey, Noah, and Jordan, brought him immense joy, as did his great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Callum, and Sullivan.
Pat is also survived by his brother, Kevin (Nancy); sisters, Karen (Greg) and Cathy (Jon); niece, Shannon (Nick); and nephews, Steven (Katie), Tom, and Nick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie; and sister, Peggy.
"We Are Dreaming of a Time When the Land Might Give Thanks for the People," a quote by Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass, resonated deeply with Pat's commitment to the environment and native plants. This quote serves as a fitting tribute to his life and legacy.
Memorial donations may be made in Pat's name to The Oglala Sioux Tribe Partnership for Housing (OSTPH).
Pat dedicated countless hours to supporting the Oglala Sioux people through housing projects on the Pine Ridge Reservation. OSTPH continues to address various housing-related issues, and your contribution will make a significant impact.
The family will hold a private service.
