Myron Harold Krecklau passed away from Influenza A and pneumonia on February 6, 2018, at the age of 81 at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa Arizona. A funeral Mass is planned for Saturday June 2, 2018 at St. Genevieve Parish Community Center at 6995 Centerville Rd, Centerville MN 55038. The funeral will be at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
Myron was born September 28, 1936, in New Auburn MN to Lawrence and Irene (Paulmann) Krecklau. He graduated from Brownton MN high school in 1954. In 1960 he married Arlene Roufs They had two sons, Michael and Brian before divorcing. He married Linda Thul on July 2 1977 and adopted her son, Jon. They were happily married for forty years.
He worked as a punch press operator at Honeywell for several years then he attended the MN School of Business and worked as a computer programmer, operator and technician for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN (BCBSM) for nearly 30 years retiring from there in 1996. It was at BCBSM that he met and married Linda. He drove school buses in Farmington and Isle Minnesota. In July 2001 he and Linda moved to Big Point on Lake Mille Lacs. For the past 12 years, they wintered in Apache Junction AZ.
Myron was always busy building something or fixing things. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, playing with his grandchildren, games of dominoes with friends and morning coffee with his buddies
He is survived by his wife Linda (Thul) Krecklau; children, Michael, his wife Lauren, Eagan MN, Brian, Mission TX and Jonathan, his wife. Laura Handley Centerville MN; Grandchildren Ethan and Helena; siblings, Joan Alsleben, Lyle (Marion), Virgene Baumgardt (Wayne) and many nieces and nephews. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Irene-, brother, Kenneth, daughter-in-law, Melissa Krecklau, brother-in-law, Peter Thul and sister-in-law, Margaret (Thul) Fournier, brother-in-law, Willmar Alsleben, niece, Carol (Alsleben) Pattee and nephew, Curtis Krecklau.
