Myles David Strachota

Passed Away August 7, 2015
Myles was born on October 24, 1926 in Mexico, Missouri to Emma (nee Haugdorf) and Clarence Strachota. After graduating high school, he went into the United States Navy. Myles worked as a hardware stockman for over 35 years at Farewell Ozman Kirk Company. When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, traveling, planting and gardening, and his beloved dog, Bruno. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him as he had a unique personality and was known for being a jokester and a charmer. Myles adored time with his family and they meant the world to him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Kristy Strachota, Susan Fink and Diane Derickson; and his sister, Alice Revier. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 41 years, Beatrice (nee Jensen) who he lovingly called his “honeybee”; his children, Glen (Barb) Strachota of Stillwater, Sue McAndrew of Stillwater, Lynn (Steve) Jeanson of St. Paul, Julie (Joe) Strachota of St. Paul, Albert (Selena) Strachota of Florida and Stan Derickson of Maplewood; his sister, Evelyn (Rich) Stiener; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Gathering of friends and family from 2:00-6:00PM on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul with a Memorial Service at 6:00PM.
