Michael Krey

MICHAEL FREDERICK “MIKE” KREY Age 78 of Manitou Island Passed Away January 24, 2017 after a courageous three and one half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Mike was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 25, 1938. He was one of nine children to Mary Elizabeth (nee Smith) and Kenneth Robert Krey. Mike passed away at his home while surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary (nee Smith) and Kenneth Krey; and his brother, Peter Krey. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Carol (nee Baierl) Krey of White Bear Lake; his five sons, Mike (Karla) Krey of Stacy, Mark (Cindy) Krey of New hope, Robert (Cheryl) Krey of Vadnais Heights, Tom (Tammy) Krey of Hastings, and Tim (Jodi) Krey of Dellwood; his 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Judy (Harold) Honkola of Tower, Sally (Chuck) Fabbrini of Tower, Paul (Joyce) Krey of White Bear Lake, Bill (Geri) Krey of Grant, Jim (Carol) Krey of Vadnais Heights, Kathy (Douglas) Cudd of River Falls, and Patty (Jim) Lawson of Bozeman, MT; and many other family and friends. There will be a gathering for friends and family from 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday (January 30) at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. There will be a second visitation one hour prior to the 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (January 31) at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Mahtomedi.
