Melinda Kay Monigold
Melinda was born July 9, 1954 in Freeport, IL. She passed away on June 26, 2024 in White Bear Lake, MN after a long battle with cancer. Melinda attended Northern Illinois University to get her Bachelor's of Nursing Science degree, received a Master's degree from University of Alabama Birmingham, and attended Mankato State where she earned the title of Nurse Practitioner. Along with being a dedicated nurse, Melinda was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (Harriet Walker Branch.) She had a passion for quilting and crafting. Melinda had a generous spirit; she loved finding gifts for her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Smith and infant daughter, Karla A. Heck. Survived by husband, Timothy G. Monigold; father, David (Kay) Smith; children, Chad (Cat) Heck, Carrie (Jon) Robey, April Monigold (Rufus Gulick), Timothy C. Monigold (Cole Wagner); grandchildren, Bailey Heck, Morgan Heck, Joseph Lameyer, Allyson Lameyer, Michael Lameyer, Carl Monigold, Torrin Monigold, and Amanda Heck; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Curtis (Terrie) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Friday, July 12 from 4-6PM with a Memorial Service starting at 6PM, at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake, MN. Private Inurnment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society, or any Cancer Charity of your choice.
