Age 47, passed away suddenly and peacefully the morning of April 6, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Matt grew up in the Battle Creek area of St. Paul, attending Battle Creek Elementary and Junior High Schools (playing trumpet in the band) and Harding High School. He was active in the Battle Creek Cub Scout Pack 558 and Boy Scout Troop 58. Matt was also involved in youth baseball, football, and basketball. Prior to his illness, he was a longtime employee of Owens Corning in Minneapolis. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Wild and also of Ozzy Osbourne, attending many concerts over the years. Mattâs favorite animal was the wolf and while not having the ferocity of a wolf, he was fiercely loyal to those he cared about. His loss is a heavy burden to those who loved and cared about him, especially, Chris, Della, Michael and Miranda Brown, with whom he lived.
Matt was a registered donor and his wishes were honored.
