Mary Elaine Steele

Steele, Mary Elaine Of White Bear Lake Mary was a very special person who will be remembered as gracious, kind and loving. She was born 3/31/29 in Wabasha, MN to Christine and William Stamschror. Prior to her marriage to James C. Steele in 1969, Mary was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. During that time, she served as Administrator at St. Joseph’s and Samaritan Hospitals both in St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Survived by sister, Antoinette (Larry) Cheslik; step-children, Kathleen (Jim) Metry, Sandy (Richard) Naughton, Patricia (Dennis) Roehrich and Jim (Mary Schuster); 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Susan, Janet, Paula, Stephen and their families; and many beloved relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday at 11:30 am at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake with visitation Tuesday from 3 – 7 pm at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.
