Mary Rodrigue

Mary Rodrigue, age 64, passed away January 4, 2023 surrounded by her husband and children. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Mike.  They were a true love story. They met in 7th grade and married after high school. Her children will miss her counsel, calm demeanor, support, and unwavering love. Sharon (Glen), Christina (Chris) and Larry (Kim). Mary loved spending time doing fun activities with her grandchildren Gavin, Hayley, Olivia, Alexander, Ryder, Sophie & Claire. She was a talented seamstress. Each year at Halloween she and Kim made the cousins elaborate themed costumes. One year Mary and all the kids and grandchildren celebrated Halloween at Disney World and wore costumes all made by Grandma. Mary dressed as Belle. With her grandkids she made cookies, crafts and colored. Mary & Kathy knitted for NICU babies in their Thursday night knitting for good group. Mary was a competitive angler and out fished Mike whenever she had the chance. Mike & Mary had fun adventures together going on road trips, Saints games & to Gertens. Mary worked for 16 years at the Star Tribune. She loved her job and considered folks at the Star Tribune her 2nd family. She was known for her baking, holiday decorations and celebrations with coworkers. Mary graduated from Tartan high school, attended college at Lakewood and St Paul College. She considers her greatest accomplishment raising her 3 strong, loving kids. She was insightful, loving, talented, fierce, kind and will never be forgotten by those who loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Mary, father John, In-laws Florence & Ray, brothers in law David & Larry. Mary’s loving pets, both current and past brought so much joy to her life.

Mary wanted to thank all the staff at Mercy Hospital, 2nd floor infusion, MN Oncology, Dr Laudi his amazing team Robin & Terry, Dr Olinger and Dr Lorentz. Mary thanks everybody who helped her on her journey for their love, compassion and support.
