Mary Fischer (nee Salmon)

Passed away peacefully at age 94 on July 29, 2015. Mary was born in Cylon, Wisconsin on the farm of John and Honora Salmon on March 24, 1921. She found the love of her life, Donald, while they were both working at 3M Company in St. Paul. They had two wonderful children. She raised her children and lived for 30 years on the East Side of St. Paul. In her later years, she moved from the East Side but never from the shadow of 3M. Her life was complete when she became a grandmother to her 7 grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor, Rita and Sugar. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; children, Mark (Sheri) Fischer and Mary Jane (Steve) Heasley; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Allison, Allie (Blake) Martin, Mary, Samantha and Madelynn; brothers, John (Harriett) Salmon and Tom Salmon; sisters, Collette Ruemmele, Nora Lynch and Barbara Doody; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM with visitation one hour prior to Mass on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St., St. Paul. Interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood. Memorials are preferred to St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church.
