Marshall Nieman, of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 100 on Sunday, January 5th, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1924 in Rice Lake, WI to Herman and Helga Nieman. Marshall was the last remaining child of his 6 siblings and is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Nieman, their son, Jerome Nieman, stepsons William Wheeler, Wallace Wheeler and his granddaughter Kimberly Wheeler. He is survived by his stepson, Thomas Wheeler, grandchildren Anajo Arnold, Andrew Nieman, Juan Jose Perez II; Charlisa Perez, Pam (Tim) Farrell, Amy Wheeler, Kevin Holst, and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He served his country proudly in the Army during World War II and enjoyed a long career working for the US Postal Service. He was known for his sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor which was balanced by a generous heart that was always ready to lend a hand to any family in need.
A Memorial gathering in his honor will be held at Mueller Memorial Funeral Home in White Bear Lake, MN on Wednesday, January 29th at 9AM- 11AM with interment following the same day at 2:00 PM at Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
