Wacker, Marlene Mary
April 10, 1936 - October 24, 2024
Age 88 of St. Paul, MN
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt
A woman of strong faith, she lived in prayer all her life. Faith and prayer led her to Blessed Sacrament Church where she volunteered and worked part-time for more than 60 years and along the way, created many cherished lifelong friendships. She loved to make new friends and keep the old ones. It seemed like she knew everyone and everyone knew her, especially in the Blessed Sacrament Parish community, the Hazel Park community and her local neighborhood community.
She was forever grateful to her parents, in-laws and the Archdiocese for their help providing financial assistance so that her children could be educated in the Catholic faith at Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Hill Murray High School.
She loved her family, especially the grandchildren and the great grandchildren. She loved meeting with friends for coffee, lunch or dinner. She was a member and/or volunteer of many clubs and organizations. She was a proud "Aggie Girl" Alumni of St Agnes High School and attended many of the Aggie reunions. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2002, leaving behind staff that she dearly missed.
She was blessed to spend her later years in the compassionate care of the Little Sisters of the Poor Holy Family Residence in St. Paul where she received care with dignity in the ever-presence of the Catholic faith.
