Marlene C. Kasmirski Stronge (nee Schlitter), 89, of North Oaks, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, John Schlitter and Catherine Gould; 1st husband, Richard “Jerry” Kasmirski; 2nd husband, James J. Stronge; and son, Thomas Kasmirski. Survived by children, John (Annissa), Mary Jo Maloney, Jim (Cherri), Gary (Monica), and Julie; grandchildren, Heather, Kristin, Jessica, Nicholas, Sammie, Cassie, Oriana, Matthew, Grace, and Taylor Jade; daughter-in-law, Cindy; and sister, Mary Ann Prophet. Marlene grew up in St. Paul and attended several schools between St. Paul and So. St. Paul and ended up graduating from Monroe High School. She attended college at St. Catherine, Dept. of Nursing and worked as a RN for 34 years at St. Joseph’s ICU. She volunteered many areas-Church, St. Joseph’s hospital, St. Paul Bridge Center, and Children’s Hospital Aux. She enjoyed baking, duplicate bridge, sewing, reading (Book club), daily mass, and getting together with family and friends. A funeral mass will be held at 12 PM (NOON) on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave., with visitation from 11 AM until time of mass. A wake will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake, with a time for sharing memories and prayer at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to St. Mary of the Lake Church. Private family interment.
