Marjorie Ellen Bertram
BERTRAM Marjorie Ellen Age 80, of Vadnais Heights, MN was called Home to be with her Lord on December 16, 2020. Marge was born to parents Lyle and Eleanore (Meyer) Vadnais. She remained true to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod faith her entire life and she served in many areas of ministry at South Shore Trinity Lutheran Church.
She met and married Richard Franke Bertram on July 12th, 1958 and raised 6 children. Our family had a cabin âUp Northâ in MN where we spent many Summers with Grandpa Lyle and Grandma Eleanore. She enjoyed fishing, berry picking, and walking in the woods enjoying nature.
She loved being a Mom, Sewing, Puzzles, Gardening, Decorating, Playing Piano, and Singing (especially Karaoke). She enjoyed entertaining her fellow Residents at Gable Pines with her monthly âMusic With Margeâ show in the Club Room. She would sing Karaoke while the rest of them would just sing along while enjoying some refreshments. It was a highlight of their day.
She was very active at Church and volunteered whenever she could. She sang in the Chancel Choir and with the Contemporary Praise Band, taught Sunday School, helped sew and tie Quilts with the Dorcas Circle, served as a Stephen Minister, and served as a Cook for 10 years on the annual Mexico Servant Event for Ysleta Lutheran Mission in El Paso, TX.
Her love for her family was evident. She was always there to listen, always there to help you feel better, always there to tell it like it is. She helped all of her family out in times of need and was always there with a big hug when you needed it.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Lyle and Eleanore. She is survived by her brother Warren Vadnais, sons: Robert (Christine), Brian (Joan), Steven (Carole) and daughters: Barbara (Michael) Bowes, Carol (Edward) Gerlach, and Grace (Curtis) Back, 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
