MARILYN ANN FLAHERTY Passed Away Peacefully on December 20, 2013 ~ Age 85 Marilyn lost her long battle to cancer, with her loving family by her side. She passed away at Saint John’s Hospital. Marilyn loved knitting, reading, scrapbooking pictures, spending time with her family and her computer. Marilyn’s sense of compassion for her family and loved ones will be missed. She was always kind, had the sweetest kisses and the most loving embraces. Marilyn will be remembered for her infectious smile and sweet voice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Flaherty; her brother, W.E. “Red” Raymaker; and her parents, Edwin H. and Johanna A. (nee Vanryn) Raymaker. She will be dearly missed by children, Gregory Flaherty of Hugo and Kathleen Flaherty of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Kristine (Matt) Dean, Marie (Ben) Mealey, Brian Kreck and Kirkland (Ashara) Flaherty; great-granddaughter, Teagan Aisley; niece, Jodi Raymaker; niece, Lynn (Jon) Christi and her daughters, Allana and Jillian Christi; sister-in-law, Jan (Don) Cokley; second cousin, Betty and her daughter, Verlene; and many other family and friends. Memorial Mass 10:30AM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St., St. Paul with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 “So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
