Marie Barbara Schroeder Cunningham

Cunningham, Marie B. Joined her Heavenly Father on November 13, 2013 Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bud (Robert). Survived by four children, including Robert Jr. (Joanne), and Kathleen (Darrell Rooney); 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. Marie was born November 7, 1921 in Elmwood, WI. After high school, she moved to the Twin Cities where she worked at 3M. She met Bud, the love of her life, and married after a whirlwind courtship. Bud and Marie settled in on Maywood Street for the remainder of their lives. Marie was born with an innately nurturing heart, be it for her four children or for her young patients at Children’s Hospital. She was a faithful servant of Maternity of Mary Church, having started the church in their basement at home. Marie led an active life; golfing, walking, and volunteering. None who met her could help but be touched by her loving spirit. Godspeed Marie, Heaven is lucky to have another bright angel! We are ever grateful to the caring staff of Clare Bridge of Eagan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, November 18, 2013 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 Dale Street North, St. Paul. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM at the church.
