Born on August 19, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to Eugene & Margaret Karels. Passed away on January 11, 2022. Preceded in death by husband George and granddaughters Jamie & Michelle. Loving mother of Mike, David (Gayle), Tim (Mary), Nancy (Bob) Jones and Mary (Jerry) Konobeck; grandmother of Tim, John, Bryan, Emma, Jake, Rachael, Nick, Marissa, & Melissa; sister of Gene  Karels (Pat), Trish Krinke (Dick), Bill Karels (Jeanne), Kate Karels (Bridget) & Tom Karels. 1954 graduate of Wilson High School and longtime employee of St. Paul Regional Water Services. Margie loved family celebrations, classic car shows, jazz music, dancing and the cabin. She was a devout Catholic. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:00 am, SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 840 East 6th Street. Visitation Monday, January 24th from 3:30 pm-7:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Parkway and one hour before the Mass at church on Tuesday. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Sacred Heart Church.
