Margaret (Peggy) J. McTighe Boege

MARGARET "PEGGY" BOEGE Age 88 of Maplewood Precious Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma Peggy passed away on August 15, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on October 20, 1925 in Appleton, MN to Michael and Doris (nee Young) McTighe. “Mrs. Boege” taught 2nd Grade at Sacred Heart Catholic School for over 25 years. Peggy's passion for teaching children continued after her retirement by her volunteering at the Maplewood Nature Center and teaching religion at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. As a lifelong artist, she won many awards for her watercolors. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Malcolm; and her brother, Jerry McTighe. She will be dearly missed by her children, Richard (Judy) Boege and Sherry (Mark) Morstad; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Mann, Erik (Kamie) Boege, Michael (Sarah) Boege, Melodie Morstad and Bethany (Eric) Berhow; her great-grandchildren, Oliver Mann, Athena Morstad-Ruiz, Cameron Berhow and Quentin Berhow; her sisters-in-law, Irene McTighe and Pat Jennings; and many other dear friends and family. Visitation from 4-7PM on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Thomas the Apostle Site, 2119 Stillwater Ave. E., St. Paul with the second visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Interment, Union Cemetery of Maplewood. Memorials preferred.
