Margaret Rose Anzevino
Born in St. Paul on 3-3-33; died on 5-25-22 at the age of 89. Margaret graduated from Johnson High School, Mankato State University, and UND with a Master’s degree in Education. She was a Business Education teacher and Librarian in the Roseville school district for over 30 years. After retirement she continued her love for helping children discover the world of books by volunteering at Academia Cesar Chavez School in St. Paul, where she was instrumental in the development of a new library.
She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic parish, on St. Paul’s Eastside until it relocated. She became a member of St. Pascal Baylon, where she remained an active member until her death. Her faith, family and friends were the cornerstones of her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Christina (nee Dabruzzi) and Pasquale Anzevino; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Henrietta (Don) Chatterton, Mamie (Don) Legato, and Tom Kansier; and niece Barbara Zosel. She is survived by her sister Mary Kansier, her nieces and nephews, Jackie Price, David Chatterton, Denise Legato, Mary Chris Brownell, Michael Legato, Donna Legato, Laura Legato, Lisa Gilbert, Lynne Saxton, Chris Kansier, Jane Kansier, Tom Kansier; her beloved great, and great-great nieces and nephews, and her many other family and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held on Friday June 3 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St. Saint Paul. If so desired memorials may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Pascal Baylon Church or Alpha Delta Kappa-Roseville Chapter.
