Marcia Hoeffel

Marcia Frances (Brown) Hoeffel entered into eternal life on October 27,2024. Marcia was born in Rochester, NY on October 17, 1933 the fourth child of Dr. Raymond J. and Marie (Spillane) Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Nancy (French), Richard, Mollie (Sr. Marie Raymond RSM) and Daniel. Also preceded in death by her beloved son, David. She is survived by Bruce, her loving husband of 67 years, and children, Kathryn (Jeffrey) Cornella of Phoenix, AZ, and Thomas (Cathy) of Minneapolis. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristiana, Julia, Joseph, Kiara, Michael, Kellie, Anna, Daniel, and Nicholas; and 2 great grandchildren, Nora and Fritz.

Marcia was educated in Rochester at Mercy High School and Nazareth College where she majored in elementary education and taught fourth and fifth grade. Working in education was her great love.

Raising her children was always primary in her life but she balanced this with an active social life. She especially enjoyed her time in Florida, her days on the golf course, and her generosity to others in her parish family. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith, warm and gentle, yet strong in determination, and for her love and dedication to family and love of all life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. Private interment. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharing and Caring Hands, checks payable to: Sharing and Caring Hands, mail to: 525 N 7th Street, Minneapolis MN 55405
