Ludwig Leo Leski

Leski, Ludwig “Lud” Age 72 Of Oakdale Lud passed away on July 16, 2017 at home with his wife of 47 years, Lou Ann (Gangl) at his side. He is also survived by their sons Mark & Eric and family & friends. He served in the US Navy, active duty from 1961-1965 on the USS Mars, Pyro & Hassayampa. He retired from Aggregate Industries (JL Sheily Co.) in 2005. Lud attained an unrestricted Merchant Marine license to pilot their towboats. He did volunteer work for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and the St. Paul Science Museum and was a member of the American Legion, North St. Paul VFW Post #1350, US Navy League and International Operating Engineers Local #49. Service and visitation Saturday, July 22 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with Military Honors and Time of Sharing at 10:00 am at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Parkway with a luncheon to follow. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the VFW or DAV.
