Lucia Winegar

Winegar Lucia Spencer Age 91 of Shoreline, WA Formerly of White Bear Lake Passed away peacefully December 31, 2022. Preceded in death by her parents, Lucia (Keller) Spencer and Langford Spencer. Survived by her children, Lucia A. Blackwell of Seattle and William Winegar of Bemidji; granddaughters Deanna Cook, Lucia M. Blackwell and Bridget Aitchison; and one great-grandson. Lucia was an educator all her life. She taught English and French, then spent many years as assistant principal at White Bear High School. Her commitment to education continued after retirement with volunteer work helping immigrants and refugees achieve citizenship. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at CHURCH OF ST. PIUS X, 3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake with visitation one hour before the Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to MORE Community Services, 96 East Wheelock Parkway, Saint Paul, MN 55117.
