Louis ("Bud") Francis Winkler

Louis F. Winkler “Bud,” “Papa Lou” Age 91 of St. Paul Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 21, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Mary and Joseph; and siblings, Joe, Larry, and Lucille. Will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 63 years, Diane (nee Hartwick); children, Cindy (Rick) Wriskey, Nancy (Steve) Trost, Gary (Katie), Kelly (Amy), and Cheryl (Jim) Hagen; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jodie, Bryan, Kevin, Cortney, Cory, Alyssa, Taylor, Kyleigh, and Carter; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Sheldon, Caroline, Landon, Anika, and one on the way; siblings, Tom (Jan) and Mary Cardinal; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Louis retired after 29 years at Whirlpool, was a proud WWII Veteran, and was known to be lucky at the casino. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 5-7 PM with a Celebration of Lou’s Life at 7 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Pkwy., St. Paul. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
