Layer, Leonard “Joe” Easy Lenny Age 65 Passed away on June 21, 2012 at his home. Long time East-Sider. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah (Dudeck) Layer; father-in-law, Dan Dourney; niece, Doreen; and nephew, Charlie. Survived by wife of 34 years, Peggy (Dourney); children, Kelly, Joey (Michelle Rivard); five grandchildren, Brandon, Alexander, Corbin, Nicholas, Reegan; seven brothers, Russell (Flo), Carl (special friend, Deanna), Roger (Marian), Thomas (Stephanie), James, Robert (Kathy), William (Linda); sister, Carol Levy; mother-in-law, Lorraine Dourney; brothers-in-law, Jim Dourney, Larry (Joan) Dourney; sister-in-law, Debbie Pena; and by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 3-6:30 PM Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Mueller Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul. A Time of Sharing will begin at 6:30 PM at the funeral chapel. Joe will generously be giving his body to the University of Minnesota, Anatomy Bequest Program to support medical research and education.
