Leier (Mike) Michael

Leier, Michael A. 3/24/1938 – 12/24/2013 Died peacefully on December 24 at home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Fran; sisters, Margaret and Mary Ellen; and brother, Joe. Mike (Cretin ’56) was an Army Veteran and a 50+ years licensed electrician with IBEW Local #110. He is survived by loving wife of 53 years, Lois (nee VanDanacker); children, Jim, Cathi (David) Lutz, Mike (Liz), Patti (Marty) Moore and Rob (Kristina); sister, Gerrie (Ernie) Zahradka; proud grandpa to Cory, Brianna, Mady, Jake, Alex, Nicole, Austin and Benjamin; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, January 2 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway Street, St. Paul @ White Bear Ave & 3rd Street. Visitation 9 AM to the time of the Mass at the church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Church of St. Pascal Baylon. A special thanks to Dr. Cheema and Kristie Elghazi and the staff of St. John’s Cancer Care Center.
