Kathleen Marie Kloetzke
(nee Hershaw)
“Kitty” ~ Age 59 of St. Paul’s Eastside
Kathleen was born on April 8, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa. When her father, Donald, passed away, her mother, Gloria, moved the family to Minnesota. Kitty had worked for several years in different hotel chains. Although she had difficulty due to MS, it did not stop her from getting out and about. Whenever possible, she would join her boyfriend, Darrell Smith, wherever he went. They’d go golfing and even deer hunting. She was a great cook and would often have breakfast ready for everyone after a long morning of hunting. Kitty enjoyed music but her greatest legacy is her amazing sense of humor.
After two months of medical issues, Kitty passed away on January 5, 2016 at Bethesda Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Gloria. She will be dearly missed by her son, Rian “Scooter” Kloetzke of Minneapolis; her boyfriend of 21 years, Darrell “Booner” Smith of St. Paul; her sister, Donna Hershaw; her former husband, Gerald Kloetzke; her close friends, Jim “Critter” Crittende, Jane Auger, Chuck Hines, Dick Gouley, Tony Shadow, David Bailey (and his family), Tom Erickson, Joe and his wife, Matt, George, Bonny, Jeannie, Patty, Carol, Rick, and all the friends at Louie’s bar, may God bless you.
There will be a gathering of friends and family from 3-5PM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway in St. Paul.
