KATHLEEN "LOLLY" MAY HUBBARD (nee Flanagan)
Kathleen May Flanagan Hubbard won the battle with Alzheimer's. She was born August 17, 1923 in St Paul, MN. She met and fell in love with Warren from Newport, MN and they were married in San Diego while Warren served in the Navy on December 5, 1943. Kathleen was an industrious worker along with raising 6 children. She loved to cook and bake, not to mention a happy whistle while cleaning. She and Warren opened "Mother Hubbard's Cupboard" in downtown St Paul and were a favorite breakfast and lunchtime restaurant for the professionals working close by. Kathleen also worked at George Conroy's Restaurant and Gannon's. She loved her clientele and was highly requested by the regulars who frequented those wonderful eating establishments. Kathleen was quick witted and easy going. After retiring Kathleen enjoyed visiting nursing home patients who did not have loved ones close at hand. Her working life was serving others and her retired life was serving family. Kathleen turned heads when she walked into a room, always dressed to the 9's, with her hair and nails to perfection.
