Karyn Leigh Kienholz (Mader)

Age 61

of St. Paul

Karyn went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and peacefully passed away, on March 21, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 23, 1961.  She was preceded in death by her loving father Paul Mader; her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Kienholz; her cherished sons, Alex and Nick Kienholz; her loving mother, Jan Mader; her adoring sister Kristin and brother-in law Fredrick Johnson. She was loved by so many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Karyn was the best mother, wife, daughter, and sister that you could ask for. She loved and adored her family, especially her two boys. She was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota. She found simple joys in baking all types of desserts, watching the cooking channel, being an avid reader, and tending to her garden. Throughout her life she lived extremely selflessly - always making sure that her family was taken care of. Her family is grateful for all of the wonderful care that she received while at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.

A prayer service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
